- Abstract
- An imaginary line connecting points of equal water depth. Depth is measured in metres below Chart Datum. Chart Datum approximates to Lowest Astronomical Tide. Contours are displayed at three scales, which correspond to the Electronic Navigational Charts (ENCs) from which the input data was derived: Small Scale: Derived from ENCs at scales of 1:150,000 and smaller. Covers all waters. Medium Scale: Derived from ENCs at scales between 1:150,000 and 1:30,000. Covers coastal waters. Large Scale: Derived from ENCs at scales of 1:30,000 and greater.
